As they collect another bonus point win away at Watton

Union make it three from three to hold on to top position in EC1 ahead of Diss 2 on points difference. Union went in front early on and kept that lead for the full 80mins, Watton adding a try early on. The game was a scrappy affair with Union’s forwards again to the fore with an impressive performance, the scrum was particularly effective leading to number-eight Jon Spicker’s try which came from a strike against the head allowing Spicker to pick from the base and barge over.

Prop Martyn Webb who is in a rich vein of form, working hard in the tight and carrying and offloading well in the loose scored a fine, further tries came from Ryan Day, Alastair McKee and Oli Ward, who has scored in all three league games so far and has a personal tally of 7 tries so far for the season.

Union’s next game is at home against North Walsham 2s, the game kicks off at 3pm.
